I'll be keeping an eye on this thread for other suggestions! Originally posted by:Those are neat additions, thanks a lot!Īnything else that you've not mentioned perhaps? Your welcome! As far as anything else, what I suggested is what I run, right now.

I included the Extra Cheats Plugin because it's so useful and the Census Repository for what I perceive to be an extremely useful mod as well. NAM and IH Jobfix are probably the two that are most often referenced. And, of course, plenty of others are as well. If anyone knows of a 'standalone' census tool that is as useful and as easy to use as this one appears to be, I'd love a reference to it!) PS - When I first came to SC4, I created a thread just like you did.

(I really don't know much about how to work out the logistics of all those dependencies without adding lots of things I don't want to the game. Personally, I'd like to have a much more streamlined low-impact census tool with the same sort of reporting function, but without all the dependencies and such. (Like a giant toll booth/attraction center/etc-junk that's unnecssary in my opinion.) However, the reporting features are the sorts of data summaries that are invaluable to a serious SC4 player. (There's a list with the troublesome cheats noted.) I haven't tried it yet, but really want to.:) It's the Census Repository Mod: It has several dependencies, I think, and I am not sure why it's constructed as it is. However, there are cheats in there that can cause extreme issues, so only use certain ones with caution. Another must-have mod is simply a convenience tool: Extra-Cheats Plugin - It's a.dll that you place in your main SC4 directory that allows an easy right-click drop-down box for your cheat menu. Without it, Sims can't find enough High Wealth jobs in Industry. Without that improved pathfinding, creating large productive cities is next to impossible with default Maxis pathing.Īlso a practical necessity is the IH-Jobfix mod: This fixes the missing High Wealth jobs found in many/most IH plots.

Cheers, help this fella will ya? NAM, of course, is a necessary mod, even if you only choose to install the much improved pathing algorithms for Sims. You get the point, things that fix and improve the gameplay.

Something that works similarly as SPAM, NAM, CAM, etc. I know about Simtropolis and other places to look into, but I'm more specifically looking for the names of mods that make you can't play SC4 without it. Not things that cause it to be set on Mars or♥♥♥♥♥♥like that. I need nothing like crazy ones, just mods that will improve and correct fundamental imbalances in the game, things that take major weaknesses and make the game drastically better, etc. I'm not looking for anything crazy, but eagerly looking for a 'must have' mods. I want to get a good idea of the 'must have' mods. I am considering to come back playing SimCity 4.

But the Google overwhelmed my senses.Īuthor Topic: List of Plugin-Lists (Read 41150 times). I know I have seen this discussed here before, many times in fact.
